Question & things to think about from chapter 11
1)   Peter has to defend himself from the accusation that he, a Judean, “went to uncircumcised men and ate with them.” What is the core of his defence?

2)   The dispersion following Stephen’s death continues to spread, but they are only talking to Judeans, not Gentiles. When the brothers from Cyprus and Cyrene come to Antioch they begin to speak with the Greeks there and win converts. We have just seen some Gentiles become Christians, but this is another new development: What marks it off from the story of Cornelius?
3)   It is while Barnabas and Saul are in Antioch that the believers were first called “Christians”. Do you know how they identified themselves before this? Is there a need for the new name as the kingdom spreads into the Gentile world?
4)   At the end of the chapter we meet the prophet Agabus for the first time (he will re-appear later). He seems to be well-known and respected. What does he prophesy, and what response does it elicit?
