Acts Chapter 3
Click on the image below to watch the video (about 6 minutes). It contains an introduction, followed by the chapter read aloud from the ESV, then the questions. The questions are repeated below as well. Once you have finished, please share your thoughts with the wider HRCC community at HRCCActsStudy
Question & things to think about from chapter 3
1)   Why is the lame man begging in that particular location (in the Beautiful Gate)? Clearly some spots are better for begging than others, and there is, usually, a hierarchy within the begging community that determines who gets to beg where. What does this possibly tell us about this man?
2)   Peter’s answer to his expectation is pretty dramatic. What does this say about Peter and the early disciples? They had, of course, witnessed and even performed miracles when they followed Jesus during his earthly ministry, now they clearly expect that to continue. Should we? Do we?
3)   Look at the beginning of Peter’s sermon to the crowd. What are the key points? What part does the cross play? What is the most important thing in the story he tells of Jesus?

4)  We do not find out how the people responded until the beginning of chapter 4, but what effect do you think Peter’s sermon might have?
